Creating artworks and designs are my passion. I have concentrated on repeat pattern designs, grabbing my innovative self to burst with ideas and ultimately collections. I have fixed my focus to making sure that the art, colors and patterns work harmoniously together .

Inside you will find my latest portfolio of designs ready for products that consumers will purchase and like so much, they come back for more. At least, that is my intention.

Bloomies

This collection was inspired by one of my most favorite people, my dad’s mom, my grandmother, Gran. She was a little spitfire, barely 5’ tall to my 5’8”. She was so kind and always encouraged my creativity. One of her great loves was flowers. She had the most gorgeous peony bushes that she carefully tended and when in bloom burst with flowers that were “ginormous”. I love flowers and while creating this collection, she I’m sure was whispering in my ear from above. I believe she would love this and be proud.

Pome

This collection is based on a series of paintings on furniture for my children’s school auction, I re-imagined those designs into these colorful patterns. What catches my attention is fruits piled together creating light and shadows bursting with colors and shapes. Moving forward with these motifs, I imagine a cute apron, table runner or mats, family recipe journal and even tea towels as a sewist’s next project.

Desert Discoveries

I live at the base of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve that is filled with many living things and designs embedded in the flora, rocks and boulders. On Saturdays, I hike with one of my favorite gal pals to not only work out our weekly life questions, but to explore and take in the desert mountain views. From the top of one of the peaks, we can see downtown Phoenix. All around the desert delivers cactus blooms, wild flowers bursting through, animals large and small, insects, snakes (not my fav) and then so many patterns in the granite, marble, slate and miscellaneous stone. This group focus is on patterns found within only some of the elements. The desert is filled with so many features and my camera is overwhelmed with photos galore, that I am sure more sketches will develop in my sketchbook dance on the page.
